Trusting an app with your writing comes with questions. Here are short, honest answers about privacy, payments, exports, and what happens to your work. The guide is there when you need more detail.
Yes. Your writing is yours and it is not public. Spleen stores it because the app has to, but it is never used to train AI models and your personal information is not sold. If you make a share link, anyone who gets that link can read what you shared.

Nothing is deleted. When the paid period ends, your account returns to Quill and your existing projects stay readable, editable, and exportable. If you are over Quill’s project limit, you cannot create or import another project until you are below it again.

Yes, whenever you like. Every project can be exported as a file you keep in PDF, EPUB, HTML, Markdown, or Spleen Archive format. Your writing should never feel trapped inside Spleen.

Not fully. Spleen needs a connection to load the app and save to the server. If the connection drops while you are writing, the open editor keeps your unsaved text in that browser and tries to save it when the connection returns.
If something goes wrong while you are writing, start with troubleshooting.
Deleting a section or document moves it to the project’s Trash. It stays there until you restore it or choose Delete for good. Archive is for writing you want out of the book without treating it as a mistake.
Deleting a whole project is different. That is permanent after a typed confirmation, so export or archive it first if you may want it later. The guide covers both the project sidebar and project deletion.
Yes. The editor, projects, and account pages all work on a phone, and you can add Spleen to the home screen like an app. A larger screen will probably feel nicer for a long writing session.

Open Account → Plan & billing, choose Manage billing, and cancel through Stripe’s billing page. You do not need to contact anyone. Your paid plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, then your account returns to Quill.
